Paths for Approving the Draft Law of the Popular Mobilization Authority: Justifications/Probabilities/Implications

The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) initially appeared as an armed force in a self-motivated and voluntary action, when thousands of Shiite youth and elderlies responded to the competent jihadist fatwa of Sayyid Ali al-Sistani on 13/6/2014 and expressed their readiness to take up arms in order to confront the advance of the extremist forces of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, known as (ISIS), towards Baghdad, the Shiite capital. This was after those forces were able to control the Sunni city of Mosul on June 10 of the same year and decided to march towards the regions of central and southern Iraq.
