Overview
The Research and Studies Department, established in 2025 within the KARA Organization, serves as an effective department with a leading role in societal development. Through primary data collection, the department makes efforts to suggest and design evidence-based analysis and solutions, in the form of scientific papers and peer-reviewed reports to relevant stakeholders.

The department is structured into three units:
1. The Advisory Board
2. Research and Development (R&D)
3. Vejiyan Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (Vejiyan MHPSS)

The Advisory Board Unit serves the critical and creative aspects of the department. This unit studies and analyzes insights deductively on common concerns regarding the region. It functions as a guiding force for both R&D and the MHPSS units.

The R&D functions as a crucial unit within the department to collect, analyze, and interpret information on specific concerns. Resulting in data-driven solutions and proposal narratives.

In the present context, the MHPSS unit works to promote mental well-being, provide culturally adapted MHPSS services, and build the capacity of mental health professionals and community members.

The three units work dynamically together to sustain KARA Organization in alignment with the organization's focus on raising awareness and sustaining development of the society.
